Thanks for the update on the stops and sport handles, both look interesting and I shall certainly think about getting some. I really enjoy using the NuDrive; it is much better being able to sit more upright and not having to use as much effort to get up hills and slopes. My hands stay clean and dry. The NuDrive is also useful on cambers and rough ground; I find it much easier and makes me more independent, as I hate being pushed.

Iíve used my NuDrive a lot and got on with them really well. Iíve used levers on grass and on gravel (with my free wheel attachment), I frequently use it in the supermarkets and around town, I hope to soon be using it at dog shows on grass, I use it around the village (helps a lot as have bad cambers on a lot of the footpaths). It has been very useful on the hills and slopes locally. I find it helps my breathing as I sit more upright and so also improves posture, I find it helps stop the pains in my wrists and fingers from gripping the hand rim

Unit arrived at 2pm on Wed 25 Feb, fitted it myself by 5pm - instructions easy peasy - took NuDrive for test drive(!) on Thu in local Tesco complex, steep slope to Borders from Tesco and about 500m distance, before had to stop 3 or 4 times to get my breath back and rest arms/shoulders, it was hard work - with the NuDrive did it in one go and wasn't tired or aching.

3 added bonuses:

1. You can stop if it's wet!!
2. Hygiene - don't get your hands covered in dog mess or discarded food (chips, burgers, chewing gum etc).
3. Can leave the side rests down - arm rest doesn't hit the inside of forearms like when using the rims.

Brilliant piece of kit, I love it, it's made things easier for me, especially as I live in a city full of hills.

Just another quick note to let you know how I'm doing with my NuDrive units. I've been averaging about a mile a day & now find them more intuitive than pushing on the wheels. I originally planned only to use them in winter but now think I will use them all year round. My posture continues to improve & my inhaler use has reduced dramatically. I'm no longer replacing wheelchair gloves every couple of months & braking feels so much safer.

Well the levers are going great guns. I have really given them a right good work out. I do not go out without them nor use my chair with out them. The only time I have taken them off is when I know it could be a very tight, confined place.

I am so very pleased with them, I really hope all of you will hopefully allow me to tell others, be it in business or health, just how this wonderful product has so transformed my life.
